Bhoomeeshwarar Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located in Marakkanam in Villupuram District of Tamil Nadu. Presiding Deity is called as Bhoomeeshwarar and Mother is called as Girijambal / Girijambikai. This ancient temple is believed to be more than 1000 years old and belonged to Chola Period. The Temple is situated at Marakkanam on the ECR Road connecting Puducherry and Chennai.

The Temple is located at about 100 meters from Marakkanam Bus Stop, 20 Kms from Munnur, 36 Kms from Tindivanam, 34 Kms from Puducherry, 36 Kms from Tindivanam Railway Station, 35 Kms from Puducherry Railway Station, 33 Kms from Puducherry Airport, 77 Kms from Villupuram, 108 Kms from Chennai Airport and 118 Kms from Chennai. The temple is on the west side of East Coast Road (ECR) at Marakkanam. The Temple is located at the Junction of Marakkanam - Thenpakkam Road with ECR Road.
It is well connected to the state capital Chennai and the nearby union territory of Puducherry by the East Coast Road. To the west, Marakkanam is connected to the town of Tindivanam by the SH-134. All the buses from Chennai and Mahabalipuram to Pondicherry  passes through Marakkanam. Nearest Railway Stations are located at Puducherry & Tindivanam. Nearest Airports are located at Puducherry and Chennai.
