Prathiyangara Devi Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Prathiyangara Devi, an incarnation of Kali, located at Ayyavadi Village near Kumbakonam Town in Thiruvidaimarudur Taluk in Thanjavur District of Tamil Nadu. Presiding Deity is called as Agastheeshwarar and Mother is called as Dharma Samvardhini. Though the presiding Deity is Lord Shiva, importance is given to Prathiyangara Devi. Even, the Temple is also called as Prathiyangara Devi Temple. The construction of this temple is different from the normal South Indian temples. It looks more like a North Indian temple. The temple is more than 1000 years old and is associated with legends of the Mahabharata and Ramayana.
