Mela Thirumanancheri Airavateshwarar Temple is a Hindu temple located at Mela Thirumanancheri in Nagapattinam district of Tamilnadu. The historical name of the place is Ethirkolpadi. The presiding deity is Shiva. He is called as Airavateshwarar. His consort is known as Sugantha Kundalambikai. It is one of the shrines of the 275 Paadal Petra Sthalams - Shiva Sthalams glorified in the early medieval Tevaram poems by Tamil Saivite Nayanar Sundarar.

The temple is open from 6.00 a.m. to 12.00 a.m. and from 4.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m.
Festivals
Chithirai Indira Vizha in April-May; Karthikai Mondays in November-December and Margazhi Tiruvadhirai in December-January are the festivals celebrated in the temple. Besides Shivarathri, Parvathi Tirukalyanam is celebrated at this Shetram.
Singers
Lord Shiva of the temple is praised in the hymns of Saint Sundarar. This is the 24th Shiva temple on the northern bank of Cauvery praised in Thevaram hymns. Don’t change your mind, be determined to worship Lord at Edirkolpaadi” says Saint Sundarar in his celebrated hymns. It is noteworthy that that the Bhakti relationship between Lord Shiva and Sundarar was as one between bosom friends. 
Prayers
People organize wedding receptions in the temple hoping that the couple would be close to each other as Lord Shiva and Mother Parvathi. Majority of the devotees pray for recovery of things lost, restoration of positions lost, those suffering from stomach problems and those for recovery of losses in business and facing delays in wedding matters. It is believed that Lord would relieve them from their sufferings as he did in the case of Indira and his Iravatha elephant. Devotees perform abishek to Lord and Mother and offer vastras.

Connectivity
This Shivasthalam temple is located very near to another Paadal Petra Sthalam Thirumananjeri. Tiruedhirkolpadi is known to local people as Melai Thirumananjeri. Kuthalam is on the Kumbakonam – Mayiladuthurai road. Ethirkolpadi is 6 km from Kuthalam towards Thirumananjeri. Buses are available to the place both from Kuthalam and Mayiladuthurai. 
Bus services to Thirumananjeri are available from Mayiladuthurai. By engaging an auto at Kuthalam, one can visit all the 4 temples viz., Tiruthuruthi, Tiruvelvikudi, Tiruedhirkolpadi and Thirumananjeri easily within half a day. Nearest Railway Station is located at Kuthalam and Nearest Airport is located at Trichy.
