History
The Temple is regarded as one of the oldest shrines in Kulithalai, Tamil Nadu. According to history the temple is thought to have been constructed by the rulers of the Pallava Dynasty. Later it was renovated by the rulers of Chola Dynasty and Pandya Dynasty.
