Rangamalai Malleeswarar Temple, Karur
Arulmigu Malleeswarar Temple located in Rangamalai is a famous temple dedicated to Lord Malleeswarar in the form of Shiva Linga. The temple is also popularly known as Rangamalai Malleeswarar Temple. It located 42Kms away from Karur and 40 Kms away from Dindigul in the way of Karur- Dindigul NH-7 Highway.
Speciality
Lord Shiva in the form of Shiva Linga faces west while Nandhi as usual faces the east where Lord Shiva is seated. The name of the hill specifies Lord Vishnu but Lord Shiva temple locates in the hill. Braving the steep mountain that does not even have proper steps that steeple to a height of more than 3,500 metres, tens of thousands of people throng the hill on the occasion of Adi Perukku festival.
The members of the Rangamalai Theiveega Trust were doing maintenance the temple and managing the special occasions.
Special Poojas and Festivals
Trekking to the Temple: 
Devotees have to trek more than 3km to reach Sri Malleeswarar Temple. Another 2km trek would take the devotees to a ‘Deepa Kambam’ where a sacred lamp was lit during the “Karthigai Vilaku Thirunaal” Festival. Every year in Tamil month of Aadi, the 18th day, people begin to scale the steep hill to perform special pujas and annadhanams.
Police and Forest Department officials make elaborate arrangements to ensure the safety of the devotees who climb the hill on the festival occasion.
On every Pradosha and Chitra Poornima, special Abhishekam, aradanai and other Poojas are conducted. Arulmigu Maruntheeswarar Udanamar Maruntheeswari Amman temple is at the base of the hill with Lord Vinayaga, Lord Muruga and Nagammal Amman.
Note: Trekking was not allowed after 4PM in the evening on the special occasion times, otherwise upto 6PM we will trek upto the top of the hill.

By Railways: Nearest Railway Jn is Karur which is 5km away; and Dindigul which is 48 km away. From these railway junctions the temple is connected by road.
By Flight: Nearest airport is Tiruchirapalli. From here private taxis and buses are available at the airport to reach the temple in Alamarathupatti.
