Palamalai Siddheswara Temple, Mettur, Salem
The Siddeshwara
Temple and Palamalai hills are picnic destinations during summer. It is located
in Kolathur in Mettur Taluk of Salem District. The hills have no roads and one
has to climb the hills from Chettiyur, Kannamoochi and many other spots to
reach the temple.
The
Palamalai Mountain has number of remote villages. If you want to experience
rural life, this is ideal spot. Palamalai and its surrounding places are good
for trekking. Hire locals to traverse in this region as they knew the routes
well.
