Agastheeshwarar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva located at Kiliyanagar village in Achirappakkam Taluk of Kanchipuram District. This Temple is located approximately 16 Kms from Mathuranthagam. Presiding deity is called as Agastheeshwarar and Mother is called as Akilandeswari.


This is a very ancient temple, its walls full of various inscriptions. The main deity Sri Agastheeshwarar is made of sand. Saint Agasthiyar made this Sivalingam and performed pujas. Ambal is facing the east direction, which is a very rare feature. There is one temple pond in this temple. Popular belief is that this temple is very auspicious for performing marriages.
