Vadakku Vasal Selvi Temple is located at the northeastern border of Karungulam Village of Thoothukudi District of Tamilnadu. This beautiful village is surrounded by Temples on all sides. Sri Santhanamari Amman temple which is managed by the Yadava community people of Karungulam is located at the southern border.

Angala Eshvari Temple is located at the western border, Kulasekari Sametha Marthandeshwarar is located at the northern border at the entrance of the village and Lords Venkatesa and Srinivasa at the top of the hill looking at the village saving and protecting the villagers from evils, communicable diseases and other dangers.

It is located 42 Kms towards west from District headquarters Thoothukudi. It is located next to Adichanallur on the way to Thiruchendur, the famous temple of Lord Muruga.
