Ramanathaswamy Temple, Rameswaram – Sukkiravara Mandapam
Sukkiravaramandapam is outside Parvadhavardhini Amman Temple. The mandapam has 32 pillars with reliefs. This mandapam is located in front of Ambal Sannathi. One can reach this mandapam through South entrance in Swamy Sannathi also. The pillars of this mandapam are sculpted with Dwara Balika and goddess sculptures. There is a statue of a Sethupathi king Kadamba Devar in one of the pillar.
On the south corner is Kalyanasundareswarar, Suryan are facing east, Brahma and Vishnu are facing north. Exchanging garlands in Kalyana Sundareswarar shrine will remove all marriage obstacles. The marriages can be conducted in this mandapam by getting prior permission from Devasthanam (Temple Governance).
In the northern side of this mandapam, there are eight pillars housing Manonmani, Mahendri, Kowmari, Rajarajeshwari, Lakshmi, Kali, Chamundi and Dwarabalika. In the southern side eight pillars Dwarabalika, Shiva Durga, Manonmani, Vageeswari, Sethupathy, Kadamba Thevar, Pradhani, Bhuvaneswari and Annapoorani are present.
On the North West of this Mandapam, Ashtalakshmi are sculpted in a single stone slab. They are respectively as follows;
