Siddheswarar Temple, Kanchipuram
Siddheswarar
Temple is dedicated to Hindu God Shiva located near the Pachayappa High school
in Kanchipuram Town. This Temple is also called as Kanchi Siddeswaram. This Suyambu
linga was worshipped by Sidhars. While bathing in the river the turmeric from
the body of Kamakshi Amman got dissolved in the water and therefore Manjal Neer
Kalvai. She worshipped Shiva in a form of a linga and he was named Manjal
Neer Koothar. Later he was called the Siddheswarar.
