Vanmeeganathar Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located in Cheyyur Town in Cheyyur Taluk in Chengalpattu District of Tamil Nadu. Presiding Deity is called as Vanmeeganathar and Mother is called as Muthambigai. This temple is considered as Parihara Sthalam for the people born under Uthira Nakshatra.
History
The Temple was believed to be built by Cholas in 10th Century CE. This town was known as Jayamkonda Chola Nallur and Virarajendra Nallur during Chola period.
