Oothu is a popular scenic attraction situated on the northern part of
Srivilliputhur Reserve Forest. This place provides panoramic views of the
Northern Sattur Forests and also the surrounding Kamsapuram, Vathirairuppu and
Pudupatti. Muthaliar Oothu is famous for the sighting of herds of wild
elephants. Barking Deer and Panthers are seen occasionally. Other Wild
life includes Wild Pig, Spotted Deer and Sambar too.
