Students will be offered writing materials then.
There was a temple here for Lord Vinayaka many years ago. Later devotees raised a temple here for Lord Viswanatha and Mother Visalakshi and also for Sri Badrakaliamman.  Idols were also made for Sun and Moon seated in a car drawn by seven horses installed on both sides of the main tower – Rajagopuram. Pujas are performed to Sun in the morning and to moon in the evening. This is being continued.
On Tiruvadhirai festival day, the Aarati is offered to Lord Shiva with a design so arranged to emphasize the truth of Rupa, Arupa and Aruvuru by keeping Lord Nataraja before Lord Shiva with a mirror.  Eight forms of Mother Mahalakshmi – Ashtalakshmis – are carved in front of the temple.
