Deepanayaga Swamy Jain Temple, Deepangudi, Thiruvarur
Deepanayaga Swamy Jain Temple is dedicated to Jain Thirthankar Adhinathar located at Deepangudi Village in Thiruvarur District of Tamilnadu. It is believed to build during 11th Century A.D. The Temple follows Dravidian architecture. Main deity Adhinathar is called as Deepanayaga Swamy. Deepangudi Village derives the name from the deity. It was believed that sons of Sri Rama, hero of epic Ramayana, Lava and Kusha worshipped Lord Adhinathar of this temple.












Jayamkondar, Tamil Poet, Author of Kalingathu Bharani belongs to this village. Kunthavai, the sister of Chola Emperor Rajaraja Cholan worshipped the Lord and gave offerings. The Temple is renovated by the local habitants and boasts a beautiful look. Daily two times Nithya Pooja is going on. Apart from all Jain festivals, Nalgnanavizha, Akshaya Tritiya, Samyak Gnyan and Aadi Festival are celebrated every year. Now it is under the control of Tamilnadu Government.
