Varadaraja Perumal Temple, Srivanchiyam, Thiruvarur

Varadaraja Perumal Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu located at Srivanchiyam Village in Thiruvarur District of Tamilnadu. It is believed that Lord Vishnu undertook penance at Srivanchiyam to re-unite with Mahalakshmi. This place is considered as Parikara Sthalam for Mesha/ Rishaba/ Kadaga/ Simha/Kanya Dosham. Paadal Petra Sthalam, Vanchinatha Swamy Temple is very near to this Temple. Since the Vanchinatha Swamy temple is associated mainly with the Lord Vishnu and Sridevi re-union, it is considered that visit to the Shiva temple is completed only after the worship of Perumal and Thaayar here.
