Varuna Lingam is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located at Mettupalayam in Avadi in Thiruvallur District of Tamilnadu. Mettupalayam is western suburb of Chennai coming under Chennai Metropolitan Area. Presiding Deity is called as Jalakandeswarar and Mother is called as Jalakandeswari. This temple is situated to the West of the Thiruverkadu Vedapureeswarar Temple.
