Devotees seek the grace of Lord Muruga for wedding, child, education, professional progress and health. Lord Muruga takes care of his devotees granting all they want. The Hill Lord grants peace of mind and all happiness to those to come to him. Tonsuring, offering coins equal to one’s weight called Tulabaram, offering pudding-Pongal, dressing the Lord with sandal paste, performing abishek with Panchamritham, milk and arranging feeding-annadhanam, lighting ghee lamps, carrying milk pots and Kavadi are the prayer commitments followed in the temple. Gruel offered in the temple is considered as an effective cure for many diseases. It is believed auspicious to feed the first feed to the children in the precincts of the Lord. Marriages, ear boring ceremonies, head trouncing, etc., are being done there by devotees as offer to the Lord.
