Sundara
Varadaraja Perumal Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu located at
Kangeyanallur in Vellore District of Tamilnadu. This is a small temple with a 3
tier Rajagopuram at the eastern entrance. Presiding Deity is called as Sundara
Varadaraja Perumal and is facing east. Mother is called as Soundaravalli
Thaayar and is facing east.
Shrine
of Garudazhwar can be found in the prakaram of this Temple. The Temple dates
back to the times of the Sambuvarayars in the 13th Century CE.
Kangeyanallur is the birth place of Kirupananda Variyar, a great devotee of
Lord Muruga. The neatly maintained campus is full of trees and presents a
wonderful sight.
