Selva Vinayagar Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha located at Velachery, well-known locality of Chennai City in Tamil Nadu. Presiding Deity is called as Selva Vinayagar. The temple is facing east with two major shrines. The left side shrine is for presiding deity, Selva Vinayagar and right side for Chidambaram Periya Swamigal.



There are shrines for Dhakshinamoorthy, Palani Andavar, Bairavar, Durgai and Nava Siddhars belonging to the respective Navagrahas installed in a row can be found in the temple premises. There is a basement below the presiding deity. The temple is under the control of Velachery Chidambaram Periya Swamigal Jeeva Samadhi Temple.

The Temple remains open from 07.00 AM to 10.30 AM and 05.30 PM to 08.00 PM.

The Temple is located at about 200 meters from Guru Nanak College Bus Stop, 300 meters from Eri Karai Bus Stop, 2.5 Kms from Vijayanagar Bus Stand, 2.5 Kms from Velachery Railway Station, 4 Kms from Alandur Metro Station, 18 Kms from Chennai Central Railway Station, 16 Kms from Egmore Railway Station, 15 Kms from Koyambedu Bus Terminus and 10 Kms from Chennai Airport. This Temple is situated on the 100 feet bye pass road at Velachery. All buses to Velachery passes through this temple. and the temple is between Gurunanak College and Eri Karai Bus Stops.
