Moovar Jeeva Samadhi Temple, Vadapalani, Chennai
Moovar Jeeva Samadhi Temple is a burial shrine Temple
complex of Siddhars who were instrumental in constructing Vadapalani Andavar
Temple. The Temple is situated very near to Vadapalani Andavar Temple in Vadapalani,
well-known locality of Chennai City in Tamil Nadu. This Complex houses the
Jeeva Samadhis of Annaswamy Nayagar, Rathinaswamy and Packiyalingam
Swamy. This Complex is situated to the west side of the Temple. There
are special Poojas conducted every Pournami. The Guru Pooja is also a specialty
here.
The Jeeva Samadhi Complex is situated next to Valli
Thirumana Mandapam, Nerkundram Road, Vadapalani. Devotees should go to the back
side of Vadapalani Murugan Temple through the Vadapalani Murugan Koil entrance
and take the second left, this road is Nerkundram road. Valli Thirumana Mandapam
can be reached in 100 meters. The Jeeva Samadhi Complex is next to Valli
Thirumana Mandapam on the left-hand side.
The Temple is located at about 500 meters from
Thirunagar Bus Stop, 650 meters from Vadapalani Kovil Bus Stop, 600 meters from
Vadapalani Metro Station, 1.5 Km from Vadapalani Bus Depot, 3 Kms from
Kodambakkam Railway Station, 5 Kms from Chennai Mofussil Bus Terminus,
Koyambedu, 11 Kms from Chennai Central Railway Station, 8 Kms from Egmore Railway
Station and 11 Kms from Chennai Airport. The Temple is in the heart of Chennai
city with transport facilities from all corners. The temple is very near
to Vadapalani bus stop and new Metro Railway station.
