Kinnakorai View Point is located in Kundah near Ooty
Hill Station in Nilgiris District of Tamilnadu. Kinnakorai is beautiful remote
village situated on Tamil Nadu border. This village is surrounded with Tea plantations,
forest and hills filled with mist. The road from Manjoor ends here and there is
no road further. The road to Kinnakorai is very scenic and passes through
stretch of forest. The condition of the road is also very good as of now.
village is not much developed there is only a small tea shop. The view point is
about 2 Kms away from the main road and a light trekking through the estate
track is required to reach there. The trekking way is not very steep or hard to
cover.
The view point is a single story building top and the
view from there is spectacular. The Canada power house, its pen stock pipes,
the hairpin bends on the Mulli-Manjur road, endless hills covered with
mist/clouds are some of the highlights. The area is not habited and often wild
animals are seen. Since wild animals like Elephants, leopards may roam this
area, it is highly risky to stay there after sunset. There is no shops or
comfort stations near the view point. So, you must bring some water and food if
you plan to stay there for a while.

17 Kms from Melkundah, 18 Kms from Thaishola, 28 Kms from Manjoor, 30 Kms from
Kundah Dam, 55 Kms from Ooty Bus Stand, 55 Kms from Ooty, 57 Kms from Ooty
Railway Station, 63 Kms from Coonoor, 80 Kms from Kotagiri, 88 Kms from Mettupalayam
Railway Station and 126 Kms from Coimbatore Airport. The view point is about 2
Kms away from the main road and a light trekking through the estate track is required
to reach there. Private Taxis are available from Ooty and Coonoor to reach this
place.
