Lakshmi Visa Ganapathi Temple, Nanganallur, Chennai
Lakshmi Visa Ganapathy Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Vinayaga located at Nanganallur, a well-known locality in Chennai City in Tamil Nadu. This temple is famous for its devotees — visa applicants who come from all across Tamil Nadu. Though it is 29 years old, the deity has been answering visa prayers only for the last nine years. People, especially the younger generation coming from even far areas, strongly trust that this Ganapathi is kind enough to clear the visa procedures with ease.

History

Jagannathan’s neighbours regularly worshipped the deity. Few locals, who were preparing for studying and seeking employment abroad, placed their visa-related documents in front of the deity and prayed and got their visa got cleared. Since then, the temple has been named ‘Visa Ganapathi’. People from all over South India have found their way to the temple, and the print media has been instrumental in spreading word about it.
