Kalinga Nardana Krishnan Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu located in Oothukkadu Village in Papanasam Taluk in Thanjavur District of Tamil Nadu. Presiding Deity is called as Veda Narayana Perumal, but the temple is famously called as Kalinga Nardana Krishnan Temple after the discovery of the Panchaloka idol of Kalinga Narthana Perumal from the temple tank. This Temple is the only temple that is exclusively dedicated to Kalinga Narthana. The Temple is considered as Vaishnavite Navagraha Parihara Sthalam for Raghu Dosham and Sarpa Dosha. Oothukkadu is more known for the great musician Mahakavi Venkatasa Subbhayyar.

Temple Opening Time
The Temple remains open from 09.30 a.m. to 12.00 noon and 05.00 p.m. to 08.00 p.m.
Festivals
Special puja is performed every month on the day of Rohini, birth star of Lord Krishna and Uriyadi Utsavam on Gokulastami are the festivals celebrated here.
Prayers
The Temple is considered a Vaishnavite Navagraha Parihara Sthalam for Raghu Dosham and Sarpa Dosham. This temple is believed to be a Prarthana Sthalam for upcoming music and dance artistes. Those who want to excel in arts, especially music and dance, pray in this temple for themselves or for their children. They offer silver anklet to Sri Krishna Utsava Murthy. Kalinga Narthana is said to fulfill all their prayers and bring them success in their art.
This is also believed to be a Prarthana Sthalam for the unmarried as well as childless couples. Those who are born under Rohini Star are advised to pray in this temple as Sri Krishna was born under the Rohini Star. Special poojas are offered on the Rohini Star of Aavani month (Aug-Sep) which is the Janmashtami. Hundreds of litres of milk are used for performing Abhishekam on that day.

The Temple is located at about 3 Kms from Aavoor, 7 Kms from Patteeswaram, 8 Kms from Thirukkarugavur, 13 Kms from Papanasam, 13 Kms from Papanasam Railway Station, 13 Kms from Papanasam Bus Stand, 15 Kms from Kumbakonam, 15 Kms from Kumbakonam Bus Stand, 16 Kms from Kumbakonam Railway Station, 30 Kms from Thanjavur and 91 Kms from Trichy Airport.
The Temple is situated to the west of Kumbakonam, off the Aavoor – Thirukarugavur – Thittai road. The Temple can be reached through Kumbakonam – Patteeswaram – Aavoor – Oothukkadu route. Alternately, it can be reached from Thirukkarugavur near Papanasam also. Buses every half hour between Kumbakonam and Aavoor. The Temple is located at about 3 Kms from Aavoor. There are also direct buses to the temple (Oothukkadu) from Kumbakonam.
