It is also known through these Seppedugal, that the Sri Vaikunda Perumal Temple was constructed by Nandivarman II. Once, there was a huge idol of Nataraja in the temple. Once, the Nataraja idols at Pathur, Sivapuram and Thandanthottam were robbed. After a great search, the only the idols of Nataraja of Pathur and Sivapuram were recovered. Thandanthottam lost its Nataraja idol forever. Kanchi Mahaperiyava had gifted a small yet beautiful Nataraja idol to this Temple.
