Thalikulanathar Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to
Lord Shiva located in Thanjavur City in Thanjavur Taluk in Thanjavur District
of Tamil Nadu. Presiding Deity is called as Thalikulanathar.
The Temple is situated on the island, located in the mid of Sivaganga Tank
in Sivaganga Park next to Thanjavur Big Temple. The
Temple is considered as Thevara Vaippu Sthalam as Devaram hymns had a mention
about this Temple. Sivaganga Tank was called as Thanjai Thalikulam during
ancient times.
The Temple
The Temple is situated on the island, located in the
mid of Sivaganga Tank in Sivaganga Park next to Thanjavur Big Temple. Nandi and
Balipeedam can be found facing the sanctum. Presiding Deity is called as
Thalikulanathar. He is housed in the sanctum in the form of Lingam.

Temple. The Temple is mentioned in 6th Thirumurai in 51st
Patikam in 8th Song.

The Temple is located at about 1.5 Kms from Thanjavur
Old Bus Stand, 6 Kms from Thanjavur New Bus Stand, 3.5 Kms from Thanjavur
Junction Railway Station and 60 Kms from Trichy Airport. Sivaganga Park is
situated next to Thanjavur Big Temple. The Temple is situated on the island,
located in the mid of Sivaganga Tank in Sivaganga Park. The Temple can be seen
from the banks of Sivaganga Tank. Take a Boat from the Boat house to reach this
Temple.
