Thiruventhiswarar Temple, Moothur, Ranipet
Thiruventhiswarar Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located in Moothur Village in Arakkonam Taluk in Ranipet District of Tamil Nadu. Presiding Deity is called as Thiruventhiswarar and Mother is called as Perunthevi. The Temple is considered as Thevara Vaippu Sthalam as Devaram hymns had a mention about this Temple.



The Temple
This is a small east facing Temple. Presiding Deity is called as Thiruventhiswarar and is facing east. He is housed in the sanctum in the form of Lingam. Mother is called as Perunthevi. She is housed in a separate east facing shrine.  Her shrine is situated on the left side of the sanctum.


Literary Mention
The Temple is considered as Thevara Vaippu Sthalam as Devaram hymns sung by Sundarar had a mention about this Temple. The Temple is mentioned in 7th Thirumurai in 47th Patikam in 9th Song.
