Prasanna Venkatesa Perumal
Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu located in Thiruvidaimarudur
Town in Thiruvidaimarudur Taluk in Thanjavur District in Tamil
Nadu. Thiruvidaimarudur is considered as equivalent to Kasi. This
temple was constructed by Maharaja Sarabhoji. During those times, there was a
general preference to Shiva temples in the region. On the request of his queen
wife, Maharaja built a Vishnu temple right across her harem. The remains of the
palace is still visible from the temple entrance, right across State Highway 64.
Here, Perumal housed in the sanctum is more than 6 feet in height.
