Chaitanya Shivam Swamigal Jeeva
Samadhi is a Hindu burial shrine of Chaitanya
Shivam Swamigal, located in Tirumangalakudi Village near Aduthurai Town in
Thiruvidaimarudur Taluk in Thanjavur District of Tamil Nadu. His Jeeva Samadhi
is popularly known as Chaitanya Vinayagar Temple.
History
Chaitanya Shivam Swamigal was a
Siddhar lived during early 20th Century. He was considered as spiritual Guru of
Muthuramalinga Devar, famous freedom fighter and politician of Tamil Nadu. He
attained Samadhi on 07 September 1958.
The Temple
This temple is situated inside a
grove behind an Amman Temple on the southern banks of Cauvery River. The Temple
situated on Aduthurai to Suryanar Kovil Route before the Cauvery Bridge. A
Vinayagar Idol was installed over his burial place and a temple was built. Now
his Jeeva Samadhi is popularly known as Chaitanya Vinayagar Temple.

14 Kms from Kumbakonam Railway Station, 23 Kms from Mayiladuthurai, 53 Kms from
Thanjavur and 107 Kms from Trichy Airport. The Temple is situated on Aduthurai
to Suryanar Kovil Route before the Cauvery Bridge. Devotees can notice an Amman
Temple on the route. This temple is situated inside a grove behind this Temple.
Bus facilities are available from Mayiladuthurai, Aduthurai, Anakarai and
Thiruppanandal.
