Anaadhi Rudhreswarar Temple, Kanchipuram
Anaadhi Rudhreswarar Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located in Kanchipuram City in Kanchipuram District of Tamil Nadu. Presiding Deity is called as Anaadhi Rudhreswarar and Mother is called as Kamakshi. The Temple is also called as Anaadhi Rudhresam. The Temple is situated very close to Poyya Mozhi Vinayagar Temple.


Legends
It is believed that Rudras worshipped Lord Shiva of this temple.
The Temple
This temple is facing towards east with an entrance arch. The temple is situated in a pit below ground level. Nandi and Balipeedam can be found facing the Sanctum. Presiding Deity is called as Anaadhi Rudhreswarar. He is housed in the sanctum in the form of Lingam. Kamakshi Amman of Kanchi Kamakshi temple is considered as the consort of Lord Shiva. There are shrines for Vinayaga, Subramanya, Chandikeswarar and Nagas in the Temple premises. There is an idol of Saneeswarar, a well and a temple tank in the Temple premises.
