Nandhi Natha Perumal Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu located in Nandhivanam Village near Marudhanallur in Kumbakonam Taluk in Thanjavur District of Tamil Nadu. The Temple is believed to be 1800 years old.

Nandi, the bull vehicle of Lord
Shiva had a curse and to get rid of the curse, Nandi worshipped Lord Vishnu of
this Temple. Hence, he came to be called as Nandhi Natha Perumal.

Temple
This temple is facing towards east with an entrance arch. Presiding Deity is called as Nandhi Natha Perumal and is facing east. He is housed in the sanctum in standing posture facing west. He is gracing the devotees along with Sridevi and Bhoodevi. Mother is called as Shenbaga Valli Thayar. She is housed in a separate east facing shrine. There are shrines for Thumbikai Azhwar, Gajalakshmi, Baktha Anjaneya, Garudazhwar and Vishwakasena in the temple premises.

Vishnupathi Punya Kalam is
considered to be an auspicious period for performing Vishnu Puja. This time
occurs four times in a year and once every three months that is defined by the
transitory motion of Sun into ‘fixed’ sign of Taurus, Aquarius, Scorpio and
Leo. According to the legends, Vishnupathi is a time when Lord Vishnu executes
miraculous deeds for the welfare of this Universe. It is believed that offering
prayers to Lord Vishnu and Garuda on this day bestows prosperity in one’s life.

individual to improve their finances, social status and refine their
consciousness for an optimistic approach to life. It is one of the Temple where
Vishnupathi Pooja is conducted.
