Vishwanathar Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located in Ukkarai Village in Thiruvidaimarudur Taluk in Thanjavur District of Tamil Nadu. Presiding Deity is called as Vishwanathar and Mother is called as Visalakshi. The Temple is situated on southern banks of Kollidam River. The Temple belongs to Thiruppanandal Madam.

The Temple

This temple is facing towards east. Nandi and Balipeedam can be found facing the sanctum. The Sanctum Sanctorum consists of Sanctum and Ardha Mandapam. Presiding Deity is called as Vishwanathar and is facing east. Mother is called as Visalakshi. She is housed in the sanctum along with Vishwanathar. She is facing towards south. Idols of Vinayagar and Suryan can also be seen in the sanctum.

The temple is located at about 3.5 Kms from Thiruppanandal Bus Stand, 4 Kms from Thiruppanandal, 6 Kms from Anaikkarai, 15 Kms from Aduthurai Railway Station, 17 Kms from Thiruvidaimaruthur, 21 Kms from Kumbakonam, 59 Kms from Thanjavur and 108 Kms from Trichy Airport. The temple is situated on Thiruppanandal to Anaikkarai route.
