Kalyana
Varadharaja Perumal Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu located
at Kaladipet in Thiruvotriyur, well
known locality in Chennai City in Tamil Nadu. Presiding Deity is called as Varadharaja
Perumal and Mother is called as Perundevi Thayar. The idol of the presiding
deity in this temple is the replica of Sri Varadaraja Perumal Temple at
Kanchipuram, one of the 108 Divya Desam of Lord Vishnu.
The
place is called as Padmapuram during ancient times. This Temple is considered
as one of the Abhimana Kshetrams. This Temple is built during British Colonial
Period and is about 200 years old. The Temple is situated so centrally that the
devotees can also conveniently visit the Thyagaraja temple, North faced Lord
Dakshinamurthy Temple and Pattinathar Temple.
