Sivaloganathar Temple, Keeranoor, Thiruvarur
Sivaloganathar Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located at Keeranoor Village near Peralam in Thiruvarur District of Tamil Nadu. Presiding Deity is called as Sivaloganathar and Mother is called as Ksheerambigai / Balambal. Saint Arunagirinathar had sung about Lord Murugan of this Temple is his Thirupugazh Hymns.


Legends
When a Chola king travelled through this way, his horse had hit the Shivalingam and because of that blood oozed out from the Lingam. Devi Parvathi took the form of divine cow and then poured milk over the lingam and cured. Hence, she is known as Ksheerambigai (Ksheeram - Milk).

The Temple
Presiding Deity is called as Sivaloganathar and Mother is called as Ksheerambigai / Balambal. This temple is famous for Lord Murugan (Muthukumaraswamy). Like Vaitheeswaran Koil, here also, Murugan is more popular than Lord Shiva and Mother. There is a big pond in front of the temple.


Prayers
Devotees pray to Lord and Mother for Child Boon and for getting their wishes fulfilled.
