Varadaraja Perumal Temple, Unjanai, Namakkal

Varadaraja Perumal Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu located in Unjanai Village in Tiruchengode Taluk in Namakkal District in Tamil Nadu. The temple is believed to be built by the Pandyas.

The Temple

This temple is facing towards east. The temple consists of sanctum and mukha mandapam. The sanctum enshrines an image of Varadaraja Perumal with his consorts Sridevi and Bhoodevi. There are shrines for Garuda and Anjaneya in the temple premises.

The temple is located at about 100 metres from Unjanai Bus Stop, 8 Kms from Tiruchengode, 9 Kms from Tiruchengode Central Bus Stand, 17 Kms from Sankagiri Durg Railway Station, 20 Kms from Sankagiri, 32 Kms from Namakkal, 33 Kms from Rasipuram, 33 Kms from Erode, 75 Kms from Salem Airport and 120 Kms from Coimbatore Airport. The temple is situated on Namakkal to Tiruchengode route.
