Prayers
Devotees pray to Lord Shiva for relief from Brahmmahathi
dosha, pitru dosha and for healthy life. Devotees pray to Mother Parvathy seeking
good vision & cure from eye troubles and relief from planetary effects. There
is a small pit near Dhwaja Sthambam filled with mud. This mud is considered
sacred and medicinal, which devotees apply on their forehead like Vibhuthi. Devotees believe that swallowing a lit bit of this sand can
cure all kinds of illnesses.
Farmers from nearby
villages take this sand and sprinkle it in their fields to obtain a better
yield. Devotees perform honey abishekam to Brahma
Chandikeswarar for nine weeks continuously to realise their wishes and remove hurdles
