Bheemeshwarar Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord
Shiva located at Mudichur locality near Tambaram in Chennai City in Tamil Nadu.
The Temple complex houses Vidyambigai Samedha Bheemeshwarar Temple and Sridevi
and Bhudevi Samedha Damodhara Perumal Temple. The
temple is a great example of Shaiva - Vaishnava unity. This Temple is
considered as Marriage Parihara Sthalam. The temple is administered by Mudichur
Reddyjana Trust.
This

Connectivity
The
Temple is located at about 350 meters from Mudichur Bus Stand, 6 Kms from
Tambaram Railway Station, 7 Kms from Tambaram, 7 Kms from Tambaram Bus Stand, 8
Kms from Perungalathur Railway Station, 18 Kms from Sriperumbudur, 38 Kms from
Chennai and 17 Kms from Chennai Airport. The temple is situated at 7 Kms distance
from Tambaram on the Tambaram – Kancheepuram route, to the south-west of
Chennai.
From
Tambaram, take the right towards Mudichur Road. After travelling about 4 Kms
down the road, you will reach a church on your right side and a board which
reads Mudichur on the left. Take the left turn at the Board. The road will take
a natural curve towards the Aalavattamman Temple and then reach the Shiva
Vishnu Temple. Several buses and share autos are available from Tambaram Bus
Stand and Railway Station.
