Bheemeshwarar Temple, Mudichur – Festivals
Two
worship services and Chodashobhasara are being offered daily. Pradosha puja,
Satyanarayana puja on the full moon day to Perumal, special puja to Lord Muruga
on the day of Kirthikai star, Sangadahara Chathurthi puja to Lord Vinayaka are
special pujas that are performed on these special days. Friday and Sunday are
considered more auspicious for prayer requests for marriage and women throng
the temple more in number on these days of the week.
Annabishekam
during the Tamil month of Aippasi is very famous here. Around 70 to 80 measures
of rice are cooked and abishekam is done with this cooked rice. After abishekam
is done, sambar rice and curd rice are prepared with this cooked rice and distributed
to the devotees as prasadam. Karthigai Deepam is an important festival in this Temple.
