Bade Sahib Jeeva Samadhi Temple, Chinna Babu Samudram, Villupuram
Bade Sahib Jeeva Samadhi Temple is a Hindu Burial Shrine of Siddhar Bade Sahib located at Chinna Babu Samudram Village near Kandamangalam in Villupuram District of Tamilnadu. The Temple is located very near to Union Territory of Puducherry. This Temple is situated almost midway along the route from Villupuram to Pondicherry.
Legends
Bade Sahib was born a Muslim but grew up to be an ardent devotee of Lord Arunachala. Lord Arunachala - pleased with Bade Sahib's devotion appeared in person. He is calm and composed. He used to sit under Magizha Tree and do the medications to the people visiting him. He is a great Healer who has lived and attained Samadhi 145 years before. Still Villagers around stay at the Ashram overnight to pray for healing of chronic ailments and many regularly seek his blessings.
The Temple
The Samadhi of Bade Sahib is not covered by any of the solid materials. Even today it just filled by the soil. People belief here that the Bade Sahib would return one day for sure and hence no structure has been raised around the tomb of Sri Bade Saheb. There is a temple of Lord Arunachala and Abithakuchamba adjoining the Jeeva Samadhi. The Sthala Vriksham is Nagalinga maram. There is also a Magizhampoo Maram in the temple which is of special significance. The Siva Lingam is unique in that the forms of two eyes, Trishul, Pillaiyar, Ambal, Kala Bhairava can be identified on the face of the Lingam.

Devotees wishing to get their prayers fulfilled can pray to Bade Sahib's Samadhi, offer food items like dates, biscuits etc. as Neivedhyam and distribute the food items to the poor /needy just outside the temple after taking some as prasadam for oneself.

The Temple is located at about 3 Kms from Kandamangalam Bus Stop, 3 Kms from Chinna Babu Samudram Railway Station, 3 Kms from Thiruvandarkoil, 8 Kms from Madagadipet, 12 Kms from Villianur, 17 Kms from Puducherry Main Bus Stand, 18 Kms from Puducherry Railway Station, 20 Kms from Puducherry Airport, 23 Kms from Villupuram, 21 Kms from Villupuram Railway Station, 153 Kms from Chennai Airport and 174 Kms from Chennai. The Temple is located on the Puducherry – Villupuram highway. Bus facilities are available from both ends. Buses are available for every 10 minutes from Puducherry Main Bus Stand and Villupuram Bus Stand.
From Pondicherry, take the Villupuram bound Bus and get down at Kandamangalam Bus Stop. Take an Auto to reach this Temple. It is located near the railway gate at Kandamangalam. One has to left from the railway gate and should go further 2 Kms to reach Chinna Babu Samudram. The Pondicherry Road Transport Corporation and The Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation operates bus services from Pondicherry to Villupuram via Kandamangalam. Nearest Railway Station is located at Chinna Babu Samudram, Villianur and Puducherry. Nearest Airport is located at Puducherry and Chennai.
