Kadambanatha Swamy Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located in Kadambar Koil Village in Uthiramerur Taluk in Kanchipuram District of Tamil Nadu. Presiding deity is called as Kadambanatha Swamy and Mother is called as Avudai Nayagi. The temple is considered as Thevara Vaippu Sthalam as Devaram hymns sung by Appar had a mention about this temple. The temple is situated on the southern banks of Cheyyar River.

History
The temple might have been in existence from 7th century CE as the temple finds mention in the Devaram hymns of Appar. The temple was completely reconstructed in 1095 CE by Kulothunga Chola I. The temple was extensively renovated by Vijayanagara King Krishna Devaraya in 1521 CE.

Prayers
The Cheyyar river normally flows in the east west
direction but here it flows in the north south direction. Hence, this place is considered
equivalent to Kasi.
All the rituals done at Kasi
can be done here also. The temple is ideal to perform rituals for ancestors
(Pitru).
