Neelakandeswarar Temple, Thiruvarur
Neelakandeswarar Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to
Lord Shiva located in Sannidhi Street leading to the east gopuram of the
Thiruvarur Thyagaraja Temple in Thiruvarur Town in Thiruvarur District of
Tamilnadu. This is a small west facing temple with a 3-tier entrance gopuram in
the south. Presiding Deity is called as Neelakandeswarar and is facing west and
Mother is called as Mangalambikai and is facing south.
The temple is in the Sannidhi Street leading to the east
gopuram of the Thiruvarur Thyagaraja temple. Thiruvarur is located at
about 70 Kms from Thanjavur, 120 Kms from Trichy, 42 Kms from Kumbakonam, 26
Kms from Nagapattinam, 31 Kms from Thiruthuraipoondi, 41 Kms from Karaikkal and
29 Kms from Mannargudi. Nearest Railway Station is located at Thiruvarur and
Nearest Airport is located at Trichy.
