Nallakambar Temple is a Hindu Shrine dedicated to Lord
Shiva located inside Kanchipuram
Ekambaranathar Temple in Kanchipuram City in Kanchipuram District of Tamil
Nadu. Presiding Deity is called as Nallakambar. This is one of the 108 Shiva
temples mentioned in Kanchi Puranam. The Temple is also called as Nallakambam.
Legends
In the inner prakaram surrounding the sanctum of
Kanchipuram Ekambaranathar Temple, there are unique three Lingams namely
Kallakambar (left side of sanctum), Vellakambar (right side of sanctum) and
Nallakambar (North East to the sanctum) present. Kallakambar was worshipped by Lord
Vishnu, Nallakambar was worshipped by Rudra and Vellakambar was worshipped by
Lord Brahma.
The Temple
Presiding Deity is called as Nallakambar. The shrine is
situated to the northeast of the sanctum. It is located close to Nilathingal
Thunda Perumal Shrine, a Divyadesam located inside Kanchipuram
Ekambaranathar Temple.
