Ancient Shiva Temple, Kolli

Ancient Shiva Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located in Kolli Hills of the Eastern Ghats in Kolli Hills Taluk in Namakkal District in Tamil Nadu. This Temple considered as one of the ancient temples in Kolli Hills. The temple is located amidst the farms lands close to the Vasalurpatty boat house.
History
This temple has been recently
excavated and is believed to be built in 9th century CE by Pallavas.
The Temple
This Temple is completely in
ruins. It consists of sanctum and ardha mandapam. The sanctum enshrines a Shiva
Lingam. Nandi can be found facing towards the sanctum in the ardha mandapam.

The Temple is located at about 3
Kms from Semmedu Bus Stand. The temple can be accessed from the back side of
boat house or through a path to the side of the
