Adhinathar
Jain Temple is a Jain Temple dedicated to Jain Thirthankar Adhinathar located
at Solaiarugavoor Village in Thiruvannamalai District of Tamilnadu. Solaiarugavoor
is located at about 22 Kms southwest of Vandavasi, 16 Kms southeast of Chetpet
near to the Madam village. It is believed to be built during 16th
Century.
The
Sanctum houses a granite statue of Shri Adhinathar with eight features of
Samavasaran Jinar, has semicircular shaped top is established on the
holy-platform. It is crowned by one stage Vimana, has four Thirthankars statues
with shamaraithar is ended with two lions at the corner. And also on the top of
Arthamandapam, Shri Kooshmandini statue located in the south and Shri Parswanathar
is located in the north, sheltered in a gallery.
Inside
Arthamandapam, Daily pooja stone statue of Adhinathar is seated on the center
platform. On either side platforms contains metal idols of Parswanathar,
Thirthankars, Navadevatha, Panchaparameshti, Sruthaskandam and some Yaksha,
Yakshis are exhibited. A Mahamandapam and Mugamandapam are also built in the
Vedi-block. The Temple entrance is east facing and it is surrounded by walls on
all sides. At the entrance, a five-colour flag with mast, altar and
Manasthampam is located.
The
white stone made Manasthampam consists of two Thirthankar carvings in the
east and west; and two Logaswaroob symbol carvings in the north and south. At
the top, four standing posture Sidhaparameshti idols and four bells are located.
Daily pooja, special poojas like Nantheeswara Deepam, Mukkudai and also all
rituals are conducted regularly. In addition to that a festival to Shri Adhinathar
is celebrated every year, in the 10th day of Vaikasi month. Contact:

Solaiarugavoor
is located at about 22 Kms southwest of Vandavasi, 16 Kms southeast of Chetpet
near to the Madam village. It is located at about 65 Kms from Thiruvannamalai.
Nearest Railway Station is located at Thiruvannamalai and Nearest Airport is
located at Chennai.
