Uma Maheswarar Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located in Konerirajapuram Village in Kuthalam Taluk in Mayiladuthurai District in Tamil Nadu, India. Presiding Deity is called as Uma Maheswarar / Maamani Eswarar / Bhoominathar and Mother is called as Angavala Nayagi / Mangala Nayagi / Dhega Soundari. The temple is noted for its massive bronze idol of Nataraja. Hence, the temple is also called as Nataraja Temple. This temple is considered as one of the shrines of the 276 Paadal Petra Sthalams glorified in the early medieval Thevaram hymns. This temple is the 151st Devara Paadal Petra Shiva Sthalam and 34th sthalam on the south side of river Cauvery in Chozha Nadu.

Prayers
Devotees take bath in the theertham and pray to
Vaidyanatha for relief from incurable diseases. Those suffering from leprosy
also pray here. People pray to Jwara Hara Deva for cure from fever and other
such ailments. Those facing obstacles in construction works & property
disputes pray to Lord Shiva here. Those facing problems in trade, wedding
proposals and health pray perform Vasudhara Yagna in the temple on Mondays with
abishekam to Lord Shiva and Mother Parvathi for relief.
It is also believed that prayer in the temple during the
Pradosha time each day (4.30 p.m. to 6.00 p.m.) brings in multiple benefits to
the devotee. People pray to Tripura Samhara Murthy on Ashtami of new moon
fortnight (eighth day from the full moon day) to conquer fear of death and
troubles from enemies. Students dull in studies due to loss of memory
consume the Gnana Kuzhambu Theertha offered in the temple for best results. This
is a parihara sthalam for doshas related to child birth. Devotees also pray to Lord
Shiva and Goddess Parvati for Santhana prapthi (child boon).
