Koraiyar Falls is a Waterfalls located in Sengattur reserved forest in picturesque Pachaimalai Hills near Thuraiyur in Trichy District of Tamilnadu. Karaiyar Falls are in close proximity to the town of Thondamanthurai. This Falls is ideal to visit during rainy season to enjoy the beauty of the falls to its extensiveness. The approach path to this fall is a rugged hill path and hence appropriate means of transport is essential to reach the falls. This place requires a trekking to reach here. The forest that surrounds this fall is home to numerous plants and animals so it would be a great place to visit for the wildlife enthusiasts.
The volume of water will be great during the monsoons. Several
small streams originate from the Koraiyar falls, to join the River Vellar down
below. Koraiyar is located at the foothills of Pachaimalai. One has to
walk through the hills path to reach the Koraiyar falls from here. There will
be local residents who will help you to get to the falls with a minimum cost of
200 Rs. Road facility is available upto downside of hills. There will be 1 Km
walking and 3 Kms trekking to reach this Falls.

and you may choose to wear clothes as per your convenience. It may also depend
on the season of your visit.
Best time to Visit: The Best time to visit the falls would be between
the months of September to May. The falls are at its best during the rainy
season.

to 6 pm. However, there are no specific time restrictions and you may visit it
as per your convenience.

from Perambalur, 79 Kms from Namakkal Railway Station, 114 Kms from Salem, 78
Kms from Namakkal and 91 Kms from Trichy Airport. Pachaimalai Hills is situated
on Thuraiyur to Attur Road. At Uppiliapuram, one has to take a turn towards
eastern direction to reach Pachaimalai Hills.
