Swarnapureeswarar Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located in Then Ponparappi Village in Chinna Salem Taluk of Kallakurichi District in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. Presiding deity is called as Swarnapureeswarar and Mother is called as Swarnambigai. The temple is maintained and administered by the Hindu Religious and Endowment Board of the Government of Tamilnadu.

The temple was built by King Aragalur Udaiya Ponparappinan Rajarajadevan (Magadesan) of Magadai Mandalam in 13th century CE during the reign of Kulothunga Chola III.

Festivals
Avani Pournami
(Aug-Sep), Masi Shivaratri (Feb-Mar) and Panguni Uthiram (Mar-Apr) are the
festivals celebrated here. Monthly pradoshams are also observed here.

People
pray here for good farm yields, child boon, mental peace, relief from debt
burdens and removal of obstacles in wedding proposals. People suffering from
Rahu Ketu dosha, Chevvai dosha, Kalathira dosha and Kala Sarpa dosha perform
abhishekam to Bala Nandi for relief. Students perform abishekam to Banalinga
with milk mixed with pepper to gain good ranks. Those born of Avittam star
perform abishekam to Lord Shiva with honey. Those facing problems from the
adverse aspects of Moon and Saturn planets pray in Kaagapujandar Jeeva Samadhi.
