Aadhikesava Perumal Temple, Mylapore, Chennai
Aadhikesava Perumal Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated
to Lord Vishnu located at Mylapore in Chennai City in Tamilnadu. Constructed in
the Dravidian style of architecture, dedicated to Vishnu, who is worshipped as Sri Aadi Kesava Perumal and his
consort Lakshmi as Mayuravalli Thayar. Thayar of this temple is
considered highly powerful and Vara Prasathi. The temple is believed to be the
birthplace of Peyazhwar, one of
the first three of the twelve Azhwar saints of the 6th-9th century AD. This is one of the
oldest temples of Mylapore. Worship is conducted six time a day adhering to the
principles of Vaikanasa Agama. The temple is maintained and administered by the
Hindu Religious and Endowment Board of the Government of Tamil Nadu.

Prayers
We can pray for the opulence of the family and for
diminishing enemies’ nuisance. The offering is done by performing the holy bath
(Tirumanjanam) to the Lord and Thaayar and donning them with new clothes.
