Coonoor Jain Temple is a located
in Balaclava area of Coonoor Town in picturesque Nilgiris Hills near Ooty Hill
Station in Coonoor Taluk of Nilgiris District of Tamilnadu. This Temple complex
spreads over a sprawling area of 2 acres, comprising of Munisuvrat Swamiji
Temple, Jinduttsuriji Dadavadi and Shantisuriswarji Guru Mandir. Shantisuriswarji
temple was consecrated on 13.5.1998 by his holiness Acharya Sri
Ashokratnasuriswarji Maharaj. The idol of Sri Gurudev is of white marble. It is
41 inches in height and in padmasana.

750 meters from Coonoor Bus Stand, 18 Kms from Ooty Bus Stand, 19 Kms from Ooty,
19 Kms from Ooty Railway Station, 23 Kms from Kotagiri, 34 Kms from Mettupalayam
Railway Station and 72 Kms from Coimbatore Airport. Private Taxis are available
from Ooty and Kotagiri to reach this place. The Temple is situated next to
