Kasi Viswanathar Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located in Vaikal Village in Thiruvidaimarudur Taluk in Thanjavur District of Tamil Nadu. Presiding Deity is called as Kasi Viswanathar and Mother is called as Visalakshi. The Temple is situated on the southern bank of the river Nattaru. This Temple is considered to be the Mukkan Kshetram of Vaikal Village.

The Temple

This Temple is facing towards east. Presiding Deity is called as Kasi Viswanathar. He is housed in the sanctum in the form of Lingam. Mother is called as Visalakshi. She is housed in a separate  south facing shrine. There are shrines for Vinayakar, Murugan, and Chandikeswarar can be seen in the temple premises.

The Temple is located at about 4 Kms from Konerirajapuram, 9 Kms from Thiruneelakkudi, 12 Kms from Aduthurai Railway Station, 16 Kms from Thiruvidaimaruthur, 21 Kms from Kumbakonam Railway Station, 22 Kms from Kumbakonam, 61 Kms from Thanjavur and 118 Kms from Trichy Airport. Vaikal is situated on Kumbakonam to Karaikal route. After crossing Thiruneelakkudi, S. Pudur and Pazhiyanchiya Nallur, take the diversion road and proceed further for about 3 Kms to reach Vaikal.
