The
temple is located 20 kms North West of Nagapattinam and 30 kms South of Kumbakonam
and Mayiladuthurai close to Thirupugalur and Nannilam. Thirukannapuram is 18 km
from Tiruvarur, 8 km from Nannilam and 2 km from Thirupugalur. Buses are
available for every 10 minutes on the Kumbakonam/ Mayavaram-Nagapattinam route.
One has
to get down at Thiru Pugalur and take auto (2kms). Auto will charge Rs. 50/-
for a one way drop from Pugalur bus stop. The temple can also be reached
directly from Thiruvarur. The nearest Airport to reach the temple is
Tiruchirapalli Airport, located 145 km away from the town. Nearest Railway
Station is located at Nannilam.
